Notes:

This tall candlestick has a highly- figured, olive twist; a design that I am calling "the drunken base", as the thickness of the layers varies all over the place.  For how this candlestick was constructed, see the "Making of Dona" photos.  

 

Important to know:

Because flamewood, an increasingly scare rosewood from southeast Asia, has recently been added to CITES Appendix II, this candlestick cannot be shipped outside of the United States.
