Notes: This candlestick features Brazilian tulipwood, one of the most striking of the rosewoods.  The "peaches and cream" striping plus the sweet smell while it is worked makes it one of my favorite woods. It has become increasingly difficult to find examples of this quality, as Brazil has placed an export ban on the species, even though it is not yet listed in the CITES appendices.
